Jefferson Baptist Church strives to be the “I love you” church - we say “I love you” to one other, our community, and the world

Wondering What to Expect at a Weekend Service at JBC?

  1. Expect a “hello”, an informational bulletin, and an enthusiastic handshake from our greeters

  2. Expect to experience God through the worship and the Word

  3. Expect to hear “I LOVE YOU” from the Pastor at the start of each sermon…and for the congregation to say it back! This is a reflection and affirmation of our commitment as a church to love one another!

  4. Expect an opportunity for prayer! We love to pray for one another and that includes YOU! Whether by submitting a prayer request in writing on a card passed at the end of a service, or taking the opportunity to pray with someone after a Service, we don’t want you to leave without having had an opportunity to ask for and receive prayer!

  • Wear whatever you are comfortable in! JBC is a casual atmosphere — there will be lots of jeans (and shorts in the summer!)

  • There are currently no kids classes Saturdays at 7pm. KidZone classes ARE available for ages 0-10 Sundays at 9am & 11:30am

There is an AWANA Program for kids ages 3-18 into on Wednesday nights (Sept-April) from 6pm-8:15am (in place of traditional childcare)

  • Expect a blend of contemporary and modern worship music - here is a spotify playlist to give you an idea!

  • It varies, but generally the order of Services is

    -Worship

    -Teaching/Sermon

    -Closing Prayer

-Offering (there will be no pressure to give!)

Wondering What to Expect at a Wednesday Service at JBC?

Note: Starting after April 24 the Wednesday night services are on Summer Break until Fall!

  • The 6:30pm Wednesday Night service alternates between more traditional Hymns led on a piano and contemporary worship. The teaching time is a unique sermon that is not duplicated in the weekend Services. Teaching is done primarily by Pastor Dee Duke, with Pastor Steve Sherman teaching more often during the late spring and summer months.
