Heather grew up in the Willamette Valley. Her mission is to bring the hope of Jesus into the hearts and lives of young people through teaching and discipleship. She has studied Early Childhood Education and taught preschool age children for 12 years. During the last 23 years she has served as the Children's Church Director, and Awana Sparkie Bible Club Leader at Community Chapel in Sweet Home.

 

She and her late husband, Robert of thirty years, homeschooled their three children through high school. For the last eleven years she has enjoyed teaching art, Science, and health classes at JBC Homeschool Electives. She has a passion for helping students overcome learning challenges, and since 2004 she has tutored students with dyscalculia, dysgraphia, and dyslexia. Currently she tutors 14 students.

 

Heather enjoys short term mission trips, (she attended Discipleship Training School with Youth With A Mission and went on to serve in Tanzania, Africa and Belo Horizonte, Brazil.) She enjoys Bible art journaling, art, gardening, day hikes with friends, relaxing at the beach and spending time with her family.
