Simon has grown up in the Jefferson area along with his five siblings. He gave his life to the Lord at a young age and was baptized a few years after. He currently attends Jefferson Baptist Church and has been blessed with opportunities to serve and teach in a variety of ministries, including; Awana, children’s ministry, summer outreaches in the park, youth group, church construction projects, Men’s ministry, VBS and the Kidzone puppet ministry. Recently, he has traveled with teams to the Dominican Republic and Bolivia to support in completing church building projects and encourage worship and sports ministries.
With the Lord’s help and through these opportunities, he has grown more in understanding the value of teaching and investing in the next generation. Simon is very excited and grateful to be able to teach at JCS in order to help students build up both knowledge and skills as well as better understand God and His creation.
Currently, he resides in Albany and has worked for the last three years in the Lebanon and Sweet Home area for a construction general contractor. Simon enjoys playing soccer, roadtrips, hiking and backpacking, learning Spanish, and hanging out with family and friends (especially when music and active games are involved).
